THE NETWORK
The Swedish Network of Peace, Conflict and Development Research is an effort to link researchers in Sweden conducting research on peace, conflict and development. The core nexus is made up by peace and development research at Gothenburg University and peace and conflict research at Uppsala University. Through the composition of its Steering Committee and Advisory Board the Network ensures that national expertise in relevant disciplinary and area studies fields are represented and involved in the Network. The Advisory Board also in include leading scholars from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
STEERING COMMITTEE
A steering committee of the network has been established consisting of three members, each representing one of the three universities that established the network. The committee is in charge of planning and organizing seminars, workshops and conferences. It also is responsible for creating a pool of resource persons for student supervision and facilitating consultation with policymakers and practitioners.
